MATERIALS
1. Workbook (Cost is $21 exact cash or check to AHS)
-you are not allowed to use the workbook of a previous student. The workbook will become very beneficial to keep/use in your future
2. Notebook paper
3. Pen (black or blue only) or pencils
4. Calculator – any kind, be able to calculate % on it
5. box of Kleenex for class would be appreciated
RULES AND POLICIES
1. All school rules must be adhered to and will be enforced.
2. RESPECT each other
3. Enter class on time, ready to learn, and stay on task (know tardy policy)
4. Be prepared (bring workbook to class)
5. Eating, drinking, and sleeping is not allowed
As stated in the AHS Code of Honor, students will not give or receive aid on tests, quizzes, and exams. Students will not copy or allow to be copied any homework or other assignments. Upon the 1st offense the student receives a zero on the assignment, and parents are notified. Consequences for 2nd and 3rd offenses are given in the student handbook.
CLASSWORK / HOMEWORK INFORMATION
Ø Must have workbook everyday for taking notes and worksheets
Ø stay awake, be attentive, participate
Ø Homework must be completed before class. (Ready to be checked)
Ø No work should ever be copied or shared (see #3 above)
MAKE-UP POLICIES
1. It is the student’s responsibility to get the assignment when they have been absent. If absence is two or more days, the student/parent can email the teacher, or contact the guidance office for assignments. Always try to keep up when absent, but the first priority is be present each day.
2. If a student is absent for a quiz or test, the student must schedule a make-up time within the same number of days that the student was absent. (before school, after school, study hall, or tiger time) The student is responsible for taking care of this
GRADING POLICY
Final averages will be determined by the following:
Ø Test grades (100pts), Unit quizzes (40-50pts), Pop quizzes (20pts), Classwork / Homework grades will vary
Ø Final nine-weeks avg. = Total points earned ¸ Total points possible
Ø NWNC – No Work No Credit (always bring your workbook, take notes, complete assignments, and participate)
